The Day My Whole World Changed...

My doctor said I was very close to being pre-diabetic. My triglycerides were high, and my good cholesterol was low. He said I needed to diet and excercise

What? I couldn't believe my ears! What was I going to do? Diet & excercise...I had been trying to lose weight for several years now, and I had tried just about every diet out there, all to no avail.

It all started back in April, 2021, when I went to see my doctor for my annual wellness check.

At that time, I was weighing the most I had ever weighed my entire life, which was 270 pounds! I was always tired, and full of aches and pains. In fact, I was taking 600 - 800mg. of Ibuprofen two to three times a day, to try and get some relief.

I felt like I had hit a brick wall.

When I Addressed the Inflammatory Issues  I Finally Got My Health Back!

After my doctor informed me that I had high triglycerides and low HDL, and that I needed to diet and excercise, I began researching the internet to see what I could do.  

I found a doctor on YouTube, who changed my life!  He offered a free masterclass on how to build up your immune system, and I registered for it.  

My eyes were opened to so many things concerning my health.  I learned that sugar, grains, and seed oils were very inflammatory.

I began to cut these things out of my diet immediately, and in a matter of a few weeks I noticed that I no longer needed to take Ibuprofen for pain.  I was totally pain-free!

I also began to lose weight rather quickly, and I started having energy through the roof!

I was on to something!  I continued this new lifestyle, and I continued to improve my health.

Within 10 months, I had lost a total of 100 pounds, and have kept it off since!

WHAT I BELIEVE...

  • Yes, You Really Can Reprogram Your Genes:  Genes turn on or off only in response to signals they receive from the environment surrounding them - signals that you provide based on the foods you eat, the types of excercise you do (or don't do), your sleeping habits, sun exposure and so forth
  • The Clues to Optimal Gene Expression are Found In Evolution:   Our genes expect us to be lean, fit and healthy by modeling the lifestyle behaviors and diets of our hunter-gatherer ancestors.
  • Your Body Prefers Burning Fat Over Carbohydrates: Conventional wisdom's grain-based, low-fat diet has artificially created a sugar and carbohydrate-based metabolism that you've been stuck in, and suffering from, for your entire life.
  • 80% of Your Body Composition Success is Determined by How You Eat:  Many modern foods (even the ones you thought were healthy) are causing you to gain weight and get sick.
  • Grains are Totally Unnecessary:  The centerpiece of the Standard American Diet (SAD) offers minimal nutritional value, promotes fat storage by raising insulin, and contains anti-nutrients that promote inflammation, compromise digestion, and often interfere with immune function.  There is no good reason to make grains any part of your diet unless you want a cheap source of calories that easily converts to sugar.
  • Saturated Fat and Cholesterol Are Not Your Enemy:  The conventional wisdom story about heart disease is only validated when you eat lots of sugar and refined carbohydrates.  The true heart disease risk factors - oxidation and inflammation - are driven strongly by polyunsaturated fats (seed oils), simple sugars, excess insulin production and stress.  Limiting carbohydrates and eating more high quality fats and whole foods (including saturated animal fat) can promote health, weight management, and reduced risk of heart disease.
  • Exercise is Ineffective for Weight Management:  Burning calories through exercise has little influence on your ability to achieve and maintain ideal body composition.
  • Maximal Fitness Can Be Achieved in Minimal Time With High Intensity Workouts:  Regular brief, intense strength training sessions and occasional all-out sprints promote optimal gene expression.
